There’s deer in these units?

Just a late archery season would make me happy.

Poor numbers and they are too susceptible during the rut. Puts what deer are there in peril. I wish they'd end the high buck in 418 as well.

Do you guys think the deer numbers are down because they stopped running hounds there.

Without a doubt! Lions and bears predate heavily on deer in the higher elevations. The bears really hammer fawns. Alpine hunting has increased tremendously due to exposure from social media and combined with a significant winterkill last year deer numbers are way down.

Oh and I almost forgot, you can now add wolves to the list of predators in 418 as there is now a resident pack.

Except for the islands and I-5 corridor, there hasn't been a late modern firearm season North of I-90 in many years.

And if I remember correctly, Skagitsteel has photo evidence of that....

Yep.  We have a predator problem in this state.

The area where the wolves have showed up the last 3 years has taken a drastic decline in deer numbers.  I realize these things cycle but I had 12 different bucks and almst 20 does on one mountain in 2014, the same mountain had 2 bucks last fall and 2-4 does, spot had bobcat, bear, lion, a wolverine and now wolves on my cams, deer were doomed!

Its not a cycle they just kill until not much left then move on
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
