congrats on the tag there are still a few decent bulls running around the unit. Its far from what it used to be unfortunately. The grizzlies numbers are out of control making it a stressful hunt with the underlying pressure of knowing they are there and waiting for there next gut pile. 3 friends all lost there bulls last season all where quartered and hung. the one even got the head and cape down just chewed the nose off and drug it down the hill a few hundred yards. The wolf pack that runs the upper Greybull is stronger than ever before with many smaller packs running the wood river and sub drainage's. The elk seem to have shifted migration routes from there previous and tend to stay more to the North side of the greybull. last year we rode all of Jack creek up through last creek and came down through bull and little bull then out the high water trail (you wont be able to do the last part its wilderness) we saw very few elk compared to years past it was very discouraging. Sorry to deliver such bad news but just a heads up on what to look forward too. Im sure you can find a great bull in there if enough time is spent.

Who's your buddy?
Wonder if the snow had anything to do with his results last year?

Been going down hill the last few years. I have one buddy that guides for Tangle Ridge down on the antler ranch and one that guides for wood river. The antler is normally good for at least one 360+. And the Wood river normally kills several giants out of there wilderness camp.

Every state is going down hill.
If you think hunting is going to improve your kidding yourself.

You seem to know a lot about Wyoming.
Perhaps you could help out everyone here prior to next year's draw.
What unit did you apply for?

I am sure he does know a lot about Wyoming he lives there :chuckle: why don't all you help people out with what units you are putting in for Washington. I put my son in as a non res youth and would like some tips but amazed with how crappy Washington odds are how tight lipped everyone is about what they are putting in for. Would it really make a difference to tell people the better units when the odds are .1%. I guess that one extra app will destroy that percentage. I think hunting fool and all the others are pretty much destroying the odds on any secret draws.Oh well I only personally put in for Id and MT anyways.  Sorry to derail thread-congrats to the guys who drew. looking forward to some pictures from wy come fall!

Its not difficult to figure out when you look at the regs and it says Entiat, Peaches 15,323 people apply :chuckle:
