I think that's a one lung, and liver shot all day, IMHO i think very doable.

Not shooting. I have seen that much brush deflect an arrow enough to hit the bull in the neck. If you got lucky and only hit leaves you would be ok but way to much risk

you guys are talking about a 25 yard shot. then again my rig is 82# draw with 525 gr arrows. I've taken this shot (quartering towards and light brush, which this is light) dropped in about 50 yards like they all do

At 25 yards, I’m probably taking that shot as it looks. The angle isn’t too bad in my mind, maybe both lungs, but at least one lung and liver all day..

Not shooting. I don't like the angle or the brush. If he was solid broadside in that brush it would be a different story. I really like double lung shots! At that angle it looks like single lung and liver.... I don't have an issue with tracking I just don't feel like tracking an animal for a LONG ways when the bull might actually present a better shot opportunity that might mean I would have a much quicker kill. Especially since it appears to be a younger bull. If I don't get a better shot opportunity then ok.. he will hopefully make it through the rest of the season and be bigger next year! If he gives me a better shot then he is meat in the freezer!

I've seen this one go badly several times.  It takes very little in the way of branch size to deflect an arrow and lose all your penetration.   I'd wait until there is a bigger hole.  Actually I'd personally wait for a bigger bull too  :chuckle:

I agree about the branches and arrow deflection.. I have seen it myself. Took a shot at a deer and barely touched a single small vine maple branch and it deflected my arrow. Luckily it was a clean miss and the arrow was easy to find. I'm sure all of us would like a bigger bull.. but them young ones are more tender! lol

No shot for me on this one. I've lost a deer because of arrow deflection on a tiny branch.
