Any thoughts/ experience with Pac Boots?  Leaning towards Kenetrek.  Will mostly be used on the O.P.

Schnees boots are pretty nice, a comparable albeit cheaper version is sold by lacrosse. Both brands fit in stirrups and accommodate Spurs if you ride equids. I have zero experience with kenetrec.

im done with Kenetrek, their quality has gone down hill imo. between my buddy and i i think we have gone through 5 pairs in the last year and a half. they would start leaking and then when you send them in its a fight to get them to replace them and then they send a new pair and they'd leak shortly there after. im running crispis and i like those so far.

ive heard schnees is the bees knees in pack boots  8)

Not sure about Schnee's pac boots but I just got a pair of their Beartooth's a week ago and they're the most comfortable boot out of the box I've ever had. I go through a lot of boots for work and I might buy another pair to wear for work and save another pair for hunting. I'm assuming that quality will translate well to their pac's.

I’ve never worn kenetreks, but I bought a pair Schnee’s this year and love them. Warm & comfortable. I wore them bird hunting in North Dakota in December & was really happy I had them. I bought a pair of their rain shoes this winter and love them also. Very comfortable- I wear them every day.

If the lower lacing loops have the little ball keep an eye on your lace slipping past the ball and pushing it out the backside. Sent 2 pairs of Granites back for this. Bought Kenetreks, way more comfortable.

I believe the best way to buy boots of any kind is to toss name brand out the window. Go to the store and try on reputable boots in till you find the ones you like. I just did this a couple months ago up at REI in Seattle because they have almost everything you would find online. They also have a 12 month warranty. I ended up with Salewa man trainer gtx. I had never heard of the brand before but they are the boots for me. I had friends tell me to get Crispi, Scarpa, lowa, Kenetreks, and so on. Forget name, just find the right boot.

Well REI isn't going to carry your normal hunting boot brand. But whatever works best for you is what you should go with. If I am hunting I want an actual hunting boot not a fancy colored hiking boot. To each is own.

Look online and you'll see plenty hunting/hiking style boots that aren't "fancy colored hiking boots". The point was to try out boots based on fit and feel and not name brand. Also animals don't give a crap about your shoe color!
