2014-2016 GMC 2500 Denali or LTZ Gas
« on: March 07, 2018, 12:14:30 PM »
I am going to be in the market for a truck. I want a Newer Gas GMC 2500. Getting rid of my 03 f 350. I don’t tow enough to get a newer Deisel. Do you like your truck? Is it reliable? Mileage isn’t that important, but what do you get driving freeways?

Thank you

I can't help with your question, but the tail gate on the new GMC Denali pickup is an impressive piece of engineering!

Wow! Pretty interesting tailgate.

But...whats that thing gonna look like after i drop a hay bale on it? Sweep out grass clipings, leaves, sticks and hay chaff?

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0 litre.  I tow a 25' Aljo trailer, mostly over North Cascades and Stevens Pass, a couple of times a year.  Mileage is not very good with this truck.  I get 11 MPG around town......15 MPG on longer hauls up and down I-5.  Over the pass it is about 8.5 - 9 MPG.  I love the truck.  I had a 2004 Silverado 2500HD 6.0 litre before this one, and the new one is definitely an improvement......especially the 36 gallon gas tank.  I only have 26,000 miles on it, so reliability is not an issue.  I considered a diesel when I bought this one, but I just could not justify the higher price tag nor the eventual maintenance that a diesel requires.

It's an option, you can still get the standard tailgate.

It's going to look like a $3,500 repair bill.
