Pour me a glass boys. Upside is I get to help CJ fill his Huckleberry tag. He's gonna make me be his gun bearer while he totes a turkey gun.

Here’s to all you losers, I put in for points, so technically I’m not a loser as I got what I wanted.  :chuckle:

Didn't even apply for points as I was not impressed with my hunt a couple years ago, plus I have lots of other stuff to do in the Spring.  However, my son will be bear hunting in WI this Fall as my dad drew and will be transferring his tag. So, should be bear in the freezer come September.

First year putting in for bear, so this is the earliest I’ve ever made it to the loser’s lounge. It’s nice in here this time of year.

Same here. Seems like spring bear tags are getting harder to draw every year. Anyone know when the wdfw will release on how many applied in each unit?

Don't know the answer to that, but it got me wondering too.  Checked the applicant numbers in the unit (Kelly Hill) I drew back thru 2009.  Definently an annual increase in applicants with exception of 2012 drop.
2009/274, 2010/329, 2011/331, 2012/264, 2013/358, 2014/405, 2015/483, 2016/493.  Would assume well over 500 applicants this year?  If that trend is across the board..........you get the picture.  Don't worry about me next year, I think this may be my last run at a spring bear.  Fishing is a little easier.

Yikes!  Can't even spring for fresh sorrow?  Oh, did I say "spring"?  Was that too soon?  Sorry.  :chuckle:

Loki,

What zone did your dad draw in?  If he needs help, I may be able to get some.
