Preference, Electronic calls or mouth calls how do you feel about them and the success you've had with them?

I have a Foxpro FX# and have called in a majority of coyotes with it.  That being said, I always have my hand calls with me and have called some dogs with them as well.  I like my hand call howlers better than my Foxpro's sounds.  I use hand calls almost exclusively at night.  My favorite hand call is a custom job made by a buddy down in Cali.  It's an antler fork.  One fork is voice for jackrabbit, the other is a sqeaker.

I have it.  Sounds good.  You can do both bobcat sounds and distress sounds with it.

Ever have one of those days? I went to get primos call Wali World did not have it so just went with my electic call. Found lots of cat tracks so I got set up. Put out my electic bunny loaded my gun put on my gloves latched the call to a bush back off a bit in the woods put down a cushion to set on gloves gun ready. Then came the moment pushed the call remote, nothing. Dead batteries. I always think ahead for everything. Not this time no extra ones. I guess that's the nice thing about a mouth call, they work most of the time  :yike: :yike: :chuckle:

Better luck next time. I only have mouth calls...I guess I am a purist...(but my success is not so pure.. ;)

I have been very tempted for a long time to pick up a fox pro though...

I like the cat nip as well...sounds pretty good and it easy to use.
