Bear activity is hot now,  I have to bark at them to clear the trail so I can get by.  Found a cat kill Monday just 60 yards off the trail.  Most every hiker is packing bear spray now after the cat attack at North Bend.

Nice write up and congrats on a good bear!  From your description I think I would have left the hide too!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

 :yeah: Goat, Moose, Wolves, Bear, Elk, Deer..... was a busy weekend of viewing enjoyment for us.

Yep there are a few goats in the wenaha.  A hiker we talked to found a moose shed while hiking around also.  That was pretty cool!!!

I will also say that we saw 3 coyotes that had some unreal light colored coats.  VERY tempting to shoot one.
