This one should have the two little screws on the upper left rear of the action for a peep site, doesn't it?

Yes, it's tapped for a rear sight.

You don't by chance know about when they stopped tapping them for a rear site do you.

Love old wood rifles!!
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.

What is "entacted"?  Am I ignorant to some firearm jargon?

Looks a lot like the .264 mag i just parted ways with a few days ago.  Liked that gun, probably because my dad has an identical .264 that has been his sole centerfire for his entire hunting career.  Mine was a decent shooter but never could get anywhere near the velocity it should have.  It did have the charger slot, but was missing the rear sight blade and front hood.  Was 1965 mfg...dad's is a '64 iirc.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

I'd get a new iPhone.  Yours is correcting your misspelled words with words that don't exist.   :chuckle:

Thats a beautiful, all American Classic, all the way around. Even my wife said she would own it.
Practical accuracy and a packable rifle.
Blued steel and walnut is always better.

Amazed you’d lower yourself to such a wimpy caliber. What will the guys at the range say???

BH has long preached his love for the .300wm.
