If you're one of those guys who has always dreamed of harvesting a really big black bear, then this is the perfect hunt for you. We took over the outfitter hunting rights in this particular part of west-central Alberta in 2016 after the previous outfitter basically stopped hunting it for several years. Since this area had very little hunting pressure for a long time, there are a lot of big bears around there that weren't used to being hunted.
For that reason, we had a 100% success rate on our Alberta bear hunts in 2016 and 2017.
Every single bear our hunters have taken on these hunts was over 6 feet long. About 20% of the bears in the area are color phase ranging from cinnamon to blonde.
We have exclusive hunting rights on this land and book a very limited number of black bear hunts each year. Because of this, we're able to give all of our hunters lots of personal attention and our hunters have very high success rates on really nice bears.
This is not an "assembly line" sort of hunt where you'll be sharing camp with 20 other guys.
Instead, we only take a few hunters at a time so our guides can focus on ensuring that everyone has a fun hunt and harvests the biggest bear possible. You'll get to hunt over a carefully scouted and strategically located bait site that is a proven performer and gets lots of bear traffic. It’s not uncommon for a half dozen (or more) bears to visit our bait sites in a single evening. Each bait site also has a trail camera so we can make sure you hunt at a bait site being regularly visited by a good quality trophy bear.
We'll pick you up and drop you off at Edmonton International Airport and it's about a two hour drive to where we hunt. So, there is no need to take a long plane charter or boat ride after you arrive. This means you'll get to spend more time hunting and less time traveling. Accommodations consist of big, outfitter tents with cots. We cook all of our meals in camp.
After you get your bear, we also offer free wolf and/or coyote hunting as well as free fishing. We’ve got a boat and there is very good pike, walleye, perch, and trout fishing in the area. You can also add a second bear to your hunt for $750 (bear tag included).

This hunt includes your hunting license, bear tag, and all applicable taxes. Basically, your plane ticket, taxidermy, meat processing, and gratuities are the only things not included.
Hunt Includes: 8 Days Accommodation (6 Full Hunting Days Plus 2 Travel Days), Trophy Fee For 1 Black Bear, Transportation To And From Airport, Food & Beverages During The Hunt, Transportation In And Around The Hunting Area, Hunting License & Bear Tag, Field Preparation Of Bear Trophy, Hide, And Meat After Hunt, and All Applicable Taxes.
Hunt Dates: 12-19 May 2018: We’ll pick you up at the airport on 12 May, hunt 13-18 May, then drop you back off at the airport on 19 May.
19-26 May 2018: We’ll pick you up at the airport on 19 May, hunt 20-25 May, then drop you back off at the airport on 26 May.
