The guy is full of BS, he won't show you the other side of the does head.  It's not going to vacuum it's eye's out and kill it instantly.

If you watch the video close, the deer is looking to the left of the shooter, when he picks up the head the head is pointed the other way, that would be the exit side if it was hit. Additionally if you watch the retakes it looks like the bullet path is left and high. I think the guy is being truthful about not actually hitting the deer.

I heard the military or maybe it was NATO was having some issues for this very reason. The 50 bmg didn't require a direct hit to do damage, supposedly something about being inhumane?? :bash:

You don't have to hit something with a 50 to kill it.

that is interesting too, but there doesn't appear to be a hole the size of that hole in the card in the doe, unless it actually went eye to eye without blowing up the head, that seems unlikely  :dunno:

It's moving about as fast as an 06 and only about 4 times the weight. Next time you shoot squirrels or a grouse with an 06, try to graze within an inch and see if it still kills it.

Not sure why all the hub bub, some of you are chomping at the bit, to get a road kill permit, for a deer a Buick just took out. :chuckle:

I do this all the time with my 300 WM and grouse. Aim for he head, if you close miss, it knocks them senseless you can walk up and wring their neck.
