Some shots from the UK
«

Didn't get a chance to hunt the fall, but there are seasons open year round over here for something. Recently it has been hind season (does) and muntjac are always open. Here you have some Sika (and Sika/Red hybrid) from Ireland and some Muntjac in the UK. The muntjac apparently can breed 3x a year and give birth to twins quite often. They are considered a nuisance. I've got an upright freezer in my tiny flat and they're in there. The muntjac is mostly quartered due to the small size. We're going to do the legs like leg of lamb or something (with less total cooking). We'll see how that goes. I'm going to wrap it in "Streaky Bacon" (US style bacon).
Thought you all might enjoy. Sorry no big bucks of any type yet.

So cool! How would you describe/ compare/ rate the meat. I don't know why but that little muntjac looks tasty?

Cool beans, Stang. Are you going to hunt boar with my buddy Markus?

I'm running out of vacation days at the moment due to a (hopeful) Ibex hunt in Kazakhstan. We'll see how that transpires. Otherwise I'm probably stuck with weekend hunts only around England, but only by the grace of some very nice folks who have taken me along with them.
Certainly not a challenging hunt, but still exciting. It reminds me of hunting deer in Friday Harbor as a kid.

Looks like fun. I love the suppressor! That was surprising.

Meat has seemed pretty similar to what we're used to at home so far.
Suppressors here are called "moderators" and they're traded freely and inexpensively. It is an expectation that they're used here to protect hearing. They are SHOCKED that we don't have them as commonplace in the US. I shared with them that our country believe's it turns everyone into James Bond (an untraceable assassin), to which they very logically replied that "it doesn't make them silent!". Its just amazing how things become ingrained in politics and thought so easily. They think bow hunting is cruel and savage and like that it is not allowed here....

Went out for Roe this weekend and got a decent buck!
Again, thought I'd share with those at home. Its not elk hunting, but still good to get out and get some meat! My freezer is full at this point. Time for BBQs on the deck I pay WAYYY to much to have every month.
