I'm sure many people on this forum are familiar with The Send-A-Vet Foundation (
www.send-a-vet.org ) and all the great work they do for veterans. For those who are not familiar with Send-A-Vet, they are a charity that organizes outdoor adventures like hunting and fishing trips to assist wounded and disabled veterans.
While they do most of their work in the Pacific Northwest, it was our privilege to partner with Send-A-Vet to host Mike Stilson (who was wounded in Iraq in 2007) on a South Africa plains game hunt in September of 2017.
The video below does a great job of telling the story of his hunt.
Professional Hunters Kobus Kok and Johan Seyffert outfitted and guided Mike’s African safari and it was my pleasure to help organize the hunt in partnership with MarkDaniel Brasel from Send-A-Vet.
