Wyoming- DIY Antelope
« on: March 29, 2018, 06:21:41 PM »
Hello-

New to forum so hopefully not a problem to be posting about another state.  I found a lot of good info on Wyoming Antelope on here from past posts.  Myself and two buddies considering a trip to Wyoming this fall for our first antelope hunt.  My question is this...

In this day, is it all possible to find a "trespass" fee under for under 500 a person?  If anyone cares to share any info specifically where to ask, would appreciate the kindness!

Other question, for public land hunts should we expect to be overrun with hunters?  Thanks for anyone that can help on any advice on where to start looking for public units.

Also-curious if you have any info on archery

Welcome to the site.

I can't help with your specific question, but maybe someone can.

You'll find lots of good folks on this site.

I only have experience with the units that only take 0-1 points to pull a buck tag, but there are surprisingly many more animals then hunters.  One unit I practically had to myself and the other had hunters, but we were spaced out and didn't run into each other in the field.  The more popular units could be more crowded.

I would think of your first trip as a learning experience.  You will see plenty of animals though, so don't worry about that.

That's been my experience too.  I've never hunted opening weekend, so it might be marginally more crowded then.  But after, I've seldom seen another hunter in the field.  Just think there's lots of goats to go around and tags get filled quickly.
