Sight in for altitude

Hey y'all I've been shooting almost every day at home. Altitude is 750 ft but at my cabin over on the east side is 3500 ft. I've noticed much more drop or more like my 30 yd adjustment is now 20 yds. And so on so is it Thinner air and less density? I will re- sight my bow in at my hunting elevation.

More likely a change in form or lighting or something else. There isn’t enough change in air density to affect anything.

My house is about 350 feet and when I did the archery shoot at Stevens pass it seemed like my arrows where shooting high

I didn't think there would be that much change either. Now you have me thinking I may be dropping my bow arm.....hmmmmmm thanks for the imput

you'd have less drop at higher elevation if anything. I think there is something to going from 500ft to 7500 though.

If your bow is tuned well you really shouldn't see that much difference if any.

I’ve noticed no difference.  I’ve killed a bull at 10,000 feet and a butt load of deer above 6,000 and I live at around 1k.   Biggest difference would be me, sucking wind.

angles and anchor point . I practice anchor point drawing with my eyes closed then opening up and seeing threw the peep. always remember to draw square and pivot at the waist for up and down hill shots .

Silver Arrow Bowmen  has a great course for steep up and  downhill shots 1 extreamly down hill shot 2 pretty steep, and one uphill. And of course our target #1is from an elevated platform down into the gully.

Your point of impact raises at higher elevation. If you are shooting lower its the indian not the bow! If your bow shoots high back your limb bolts out 1/4 turn at a time until you are on.

Thanks for all the imput. I found the problem, it was the nut behind the release, ME!
