I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!

As a parting note, I personally think that 170+ moose are the real gimmie, especially in the 49 Deg N unit. If fact, I have heard that there are several 200+” moose there.

LOL :chuckle: No chit, they are everywhere. Never did see one in that 200 range though ;)

The only problem is you would go shoot it on Sept 1 (since it’s a “cake walk”).

Actually if I had that tag I wouldnt even start hunting till November.

I personally field judge animals conservatively so it could be I’m passing on 180 bucks, but I don’t really think this is the case.

I tend to be on the conservative side as well but am generally pretty close. I seem to be getting the impression that you think since you didn't see any that you would put in the 180 class, I wouldn't either, am I getting this right? :dunno:

This is all a matter of opinion, I'm entitled to mine just like everyone else. Personally I obviously dont think a 180 buck is that difficult to find, being able to hunt pretty much anywhere until the end of the year. Maybe its my confidence in knowing the areas and my work ethic, who knows, but just because you didn't fill your tag doesn't mean there were no bucks that caliber out there. :dunno:
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

People talk about 180 bucks like it a common occurrence. Kinda like 350 bulls. I'd like to know how many 180 bucks you guys actually see in a year, in Washington. As far as the raffle tag, it was his. Maybe his wife was pregnant with quadruples or he had cancer. Who knows  :dunno:

Tmike,  a year ago I would have said the exact same thing... but go check out some of the threads in photography.  There are some guys on this site that know where big deer are.  And many of them in WA.  Changed my whole perspective... :yike:
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I think my goal would be a 170-180 inch two point.   8)
Seriously though, I'd love to bust a HUGE two and kind of kick myself for not doing it up in Alta this year.
