Youth Turkey Success 2018

The boys were able to grind through a wet opener turkey.  They filled their tags with some nice merriams.

Congrats on a couple fine birds!  We had two to the gun Saturday and two misses.  I'd like to say it was still fun but man was it wet and windy :chuckle:

Very cool we got cold and wet. Turkeys were still in the boys and girls groups.. seen 3 jakes that didn’t care for the soft girl sounds I was giving them.. need to wait I think a few weekends...how does one hunt birds who don’t want to chase tail?

Do like you hunt them in the fall.   Ambush, find their travel pathes.

Never hunted them in the fall.

Well I am still new with turkeys only have 6-8 days under my belt.  Will just see what the weather brings I guess. Will continue to read and watch...to try and learn what I am doing wrong or right..
