Thanks for the update High Country.  I'll be starting my trips late this week.  I'll be sure to bring enough rations in case I bury it up to the frame.  Nice color on your bear.

I thumped a good one yesterday. I'd focus on 10" tall grass. I shot mine @ 3pm and saw several fro. 12-3..hope that helps. Ps,  if it looks too soft....it is.

Got up there today and was able to hunt 9 to 3.  Planned to hunt the eveNing in a different basin, but car trouble had me heading home early.  It was a bust today.  I went a little too high I think.  Brought home ticks and mushrooms.  I pulled 4 off of my son, so check yourself.

For those of you over in NE WA, do you think the snow levels this year are comparable to last year? I finally drew a tag in WA, Huckleberry Bear tag. Just starting to look into roads and came across this thread... hoping this year the green up is earlier and road conditions are better...

There is a lot less snow this year.  However, there will still be unrepaired roads from the previous winter.  Good luck!

With 100 tags I'm surprised how quiet this thread is.....
