Blue Mountains reunion
« on: June 18, 2018, 06:12:16 PM »
I moved from the Walla Walla area where I had lived since 1992 to Michigan in August of 2016 and finally got back for a visit with friends. Saw 2 bears on Thursday, a bear and cougar on Friday and 4 bears on Saturday. Camped out in the Blues Friday and Saturday night and got in a 7 mile hike on Saturday. Had a great time! Man have I missed my friends and my mountains and the variety of big game. Saw deer and elk too of course. I got pics of 4 of the bears and pics of the cougar. I have seen 14 and killed 2 but this was the first time I have ever been able to get a picture of a live cougar.

Glad you made it back into some familiar haunts Rufous.  The Blues are sure a special place.  I was in there two weekends ago dodging thunder storms from Panjab out to Lodgepole and back to TeePee.  The storms just added to the beauty of the place.  Would have been wise to bring a tent!  Camped out under a lightweight tarp but it got the job done.
The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.
