Falcon visit

Last couple weeks we've seen what I think are two different Falcons. They come in chasing the birds that are on our feeders. We see Eagles daily and the occasional Osprey, but I've never seen a Falcon this close to the sound.

Any thoughts on if they are going to stick around etc?

Maybe they are new to the area and have a nest nearby? Cool birds.

Looks like a Cooper's Hawk or maybe a Sharp Shinned Hawk. Not quite a falcon but will take birds on the wing. I've had similar hawks terrorize the bird feeder at home. They can be extremely acrobatic when chasing sparrows, pretty cool to see.

I think you are right! I've never heard of a Coopers Hawk?

They look similar, Coopers a little bigger, and they are great fun to watch.  Thanks for the pic
