anyone ever fish keechelus (stump) lake for kokanee?  better come june time frame?
I figure its a helluva lot closer than chelan for a day trip.

Back in the late 90s I took my boys up to the bridge and caught a bunch of good looking Kokanee.
Around 2006, We tried to fish it in my 14 ft Smoker craft, and realized the lake is extremely shallow in most places, has a ton of milfoil or submerged vegetation and the wind down right sucks!
The combination made it useless to be trolling from a boat.
I did not try it again.

the wind thing makes a lot of sense..didnt know about how shallow it was.
might just drive the extra few miles to kachess, should be a little more protected from wind.
