Multi-season points question
« on: April 19, 2018, 09:41:29 AM »
Probably been asked before, but the WDFW site doesn't have this in the FAQ section.   If you choose not to buy the permit do you keep or loose any points you had when drawn?

If drawn you lose them.

Also, if you are not drawn, and are successful in the "leftover" purchase in August, you keep your points.

Exactly -you pay the seven bucks so that you can then purchase the tag whether or not you're drawn.  It doesn't matter if you're drawn or not 'cause there's always unpurchased tags left in August.  If you don't pay the seven bucks to be in the drawing, you can't buy the tag later.  The whole thing is just a bit stupid.

The leftover elk multi-season tags are gone in what, about 10 minutes, maybe one person per vendor gets one.  Very much worth paying for the chance if you actually want one.

The left over MS elk tags are gone in about 1 minute.  The MS deer tags I have purchased 2 weeks after they went on sale

Actually the elk tags are gone in a few seconds.  It takes the system a few minutes to sort out the winners.

you need to repost this fact when leftover tags go on sale so guys who think they need to be first or second in line for a deer tag don’t screw the guy wanting an elk tag!   Wdfw should sell the elk tags first and the deer tags the next day to avoid this!
“In common with”..... not so much!!
