2017 ID Black Bear back from Taxi
« on: April 21, 2018, 12:41:43 PM »
Huge shout out and thanks to Joel @ BlackRiver Taxidermy

This was my 1st game animal and the hide was not worthy of a full rug or shoulder mount so I decided I wanted a Euro.  Based on Joel's willingness to share info on how to do a Euro Mount with everyone here I knew it was not something I wanted to undertake I contacted him to do mine.

While he was doing the hard work I asked around and obtained a wood cutout of Idaho to put the mount on, but could not find a good fixture to use to hold the skull.

Got the call from Joel that the Euro was ready, so took what I had down to him and we spent a while looking at options.  He came up with the idea as it ended up.  Realyl happy with it, just need to find a good place to hang it now!

HUGE THANKS TO:
Joel @ BlackRiver Taxidermy
BrownGoingDown for the Idaho Plaque
Wapititalk1 for taking a flatfoot out Elk hunting and getting me the opportunity to learn a little bit about hunting and get my 1st game animal down.

The mount came out great Larry; very unique!  You guys should ask old Lamrith to post up the VID of the shot he made on that critter.  Cool, calm, and collect he was.....and an exceptional shot to knock down his first big game harvest.
