Upcoming season

Well after the draw only pulling a buck tag and an antlerless cow tag my focus is now on the high country. Looking forward to the scouting trips and finding the “ONE”! I don’t know why I get disappointed every time I see not selected, I get bummed. But then realize that the high hunt is way better than any quality hunt that is offered in this state! Yes it doesn’t come easy what so ever. I am used to hard work and it is so much more rewarding and takes a lot more skill than hunting mule deer In The winter range. Can’t wait till the snow is gone to see if the big dog that gave me the slip last year is still hanging out!

I think you should just turn that high country giant over to me and I’ll help you find a real nice Late Palouse buck in return.  You don’t want that draw tag to go to waste!

I agree 100%

Being up high in September and October is way more attractive.

I would however not mind drawing a quality elk tag in this state!

elk is a whole different ball game! Can’t beat bugling bulls!

I definitely agree, I actually like the high country in general not a huge fan of the hot weather for the high hunt, but a lot easier to pattern animals in sept than hunt ghosts in Oct.

I’ve owned several bows and never really enoyed shooting. The only way to be a successful bow hunter is practice, practice, practice. Know both shoulders are shot and really disagree with drawing a bow. I’ll stick to my muzzleloader and rifle.
