Hey kids,
Even as I post this, I feel silly. I know I must be missing something very obvious, but I can't make sense of it so I'm throwing it out to you. This is my first year hunting Washington, so this may explain my confusion.
Is there a difference between a "tag" and a "transport tag"? If they're the same, then what purpose is served by the multi season tag? It seems, according to the regs, that I can chase elk with a bow until the early season is almost over, and if I'm unsuccessful, I can exchange it for muzzleloader and so on, as long as I make the exchanges prior to certain dates..
I've read elsewhere on this forum of folks not having time to hunt their originally designated seasons, and successfully exchanging their tags for the next season. So again, why the multi season draw?

Thanks in advance for your help and patience in explaining what I know must be painfully obvious.
