Used truck options
« on: May 01, 2018, 06:05:43 PM »
Getting ready to buy a new to me truck. I really want a Tacoma Trd off road but I just want to make sure there's not something I else I should be looking at. I was kind of looking at Nissan Frontier? All opinions are welcome

:yeah: I drive a 2011 Tacoma trd sport 4 door 4x4. I traded in my 2007 Tacoma trd off road 4 door 4x4. I would like the locker that the off road comes with but haven't needed it in a little over a year of driving it in all weather conditions. I was able to trade my 2007 for the 2011 with less miles 2 years less on the contract and a $10 less payment.  :chuckle: I am looking to trade in again soon and repeat the process.

I have been happy with my 2009 Ram 1500 crew cab with the 5.7l hemi, it has not been as trouble free as its predecessor, but most issues have been either warranty covered or recall covered.  Did have to replace the transmission coolant lines on my dime at 105k.  Performance and towing are both great.  The predecessor was a 1997 Ram 1500 extended cab with a 318 and 5-speed manual which ran flawlessly from the dealer's lot to 148k when the fuel pump went out. I would still have that truck if my son hadn't outgrown the back seat.  Way less power but enough.  The 97 Ram had about 6" more clearance with 16" tires than the 2009 with 17" tires, as the suspension reduces clearance (the plus is it rides better than a Caddy on pavement, my wife has a Caddy and we both agree).
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
