3-D Shoot & Camping
« on: March 12, 2009, 07:38:12 PM »
Anyone know of some good 2-Day 3-D shoots that allow overnight camping?  I've done the Kenmore Big Game 3D shoot, which is great, but it would be kind of fun to do a shoot that is out of town a little where you can camp out and make a weekend out of it.

There are several shoots that have camping for the weekend. It would be how far are you willing to travel.

Doesn't really matter where they are at.  I live on the west side, but brother lives on the east side.

Rimrock had one last year, I don't know if they are going to have one this year or not. We always go down to the Sisters shoot for three days in June. There are several more around, just get on the WSAA website and contact the hosting club.

The Klickitat shoot is awesome, it typically has 5 or so courses.  Most everyone that comes will camp.  I haven't been for a few years because it's the wifes B-day but you would have a blast.  You pay your entry fee and then have unlimited shooting on all the courses for the entire weakend.

The Rinehart 100 is a great shoot at Capitol City, just south of Olympia. this yr the shoot is 4th of July weekend. Lots of camping on site . Two 50 target courses are set up. A N. American side and an African/specialty side. They also have several competitions in the evenings and a long range money dot. Definitely one of the best shoots of the year.

:yeah:
also a couple in eastern OR are pretty good.  Our Club does one up on Tollgate Pass in May (I think it is at Meadow Springs Speech Camp), and I went to one at Anthony Lakes Ski Hill in July.  Rode the skilift up the mountain and shot our way down, that was pretty cool.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
