I'd like to see the DNA on the bottom one, not that it isn't wild and eating things, but it looks a little off, almost like a coywolf.

@UrbanTrapper

What are you trying to do here anyways Oh Mah?  Why snag the pic off UrbanTrapper's thread here:
https://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,226938.0.html
and put it up for public debate on virtual campfire?  (I moved it here to the wolf forums)

Top is definitely a wolf, but the bottom looks like it could have some Coyote blood in it.

Both wolf. I’ve grown up with malamutes. It’s wolf 100%.

The top one is a wolf. It’s nothing like a malamute. Literally nothing like one.  Short hair, summer coat makes for clean markings.

The bottom one I’m not so sure. If I had to make a guess, I’d say it’s a mutt of some kind.

Saying that is a malamute is like saying this is a black lab because it’s black.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
