Anyone else getting itchy to get into the high country? Hoping the snow gets to melting in the few spots I want to check out this year.. I’ve got 2 new areas in the backcountry I want to throughly scout out this summer for muzzy elk season..
anyone else checking out new areas this summer?

Yes, I'll be scouting a new wilderness area this summer for the fall elk muzzy season.   Not because I don't like my area.  Just backup plan in case of fire.  Fire messed with my deer hunt plans last year.   So, always good to have a backup plan.  And I don't currently have much of a backup elk area.

Every spring I'm itching to get into the high country.  My brain very easily forgets that it's still winter up there...

Heck yeah! Been up to 5500 already this year in the ALW. Still a whole butt load of snow but it's really melting fast.
