I have a buddy that shoots long range competitively (won Best of the West a couple of years ago and won the first season of Long Range Reality on the Sportsman's Channel) that just switched out all of his Nightforces for Sig.  I just ordered the Whiskey 5  5-25x MOA Milling Hunter Illum Reticle , 30mm tube, 52mm obj with LR Turret.  Apparently, it's backorded, but I am expecting it this month.  I know the "word on the street" is that their 2400 Kilo rangefinder is supposed to be the best thing on the market.  I have a buddy that just bought one and we took it out and tested it a little.  Couldn't find anything that it wouldn't range, including trees over 1000 yards away.

I know Carl Taylor and Brent Webly too.. The 2 owners. They also own In Motion Targets.. Is that who you're talking' about ?

I met Brent in 2007 when Pathfinder101 and I were up there for the late season, Brent and Brian were a blast

My brother has the tango 6 illuminated reticle on his Bergara bmp I think it is ? Some fancy precision 6.5 creedmor thingy . I've shot it and man is that a sweet scope has the level plex indicators in it and stuff . Gotta say , nightforce has some competition .

Not sure about the scopes, but I bought a sig kilo 2000 rangefinder and love it.  I actually couldn't find it just yesterday, went back to camp to find it was not there.  I returned to my hunting spot only to find it submerged (40 min.) in a mud puddle.  Cussed a bit, wiped it off and headed out.  Ranged beautifully rest of day.   Point being, I think sig makes solid stuff.

 There’s a sale on the wiskey3 3x9x40 for 99$ until the 14th I believe, contemplating on picking one up...
@WapitiTalk1 — how’s it holding up? Is their warranty as good as vortex? Glass quality? I was looking to spend as little as possible on a backup scope for a backup rifle and seen this deal... debating this sig vs. a used nikon... any input is appreciated!
where is the sale thru?

North 40. They were out of stock but got a rain check receipt good till the end of the month.. after looking into them abit more I’m contemplating some of the higher magnification models... the warranty seems to be solid...

Is that the guy  in Northport that has the range in his front yard that goes up the mountain and the western town with the saloon and the theater in his backyard?

Yessir. Steve Schaffer. I met Steve and Sally in 2001 (?) while looking for some hand made wood screen doors for our log home. Brent Webly's Dad cut all of our logs, D shaped, for our log house we had built for us in 2000. I actually met Brent and Dallas Crape coyote hunting near Curlew where I lived, on a ranch I had permission to kill coyotes on. Small world............

We had a Webeley log home too from 2002 until we sold it in 2014.  Thinking about building another one.  Steve would be the one to talk to about custom wood-anything.  He's got quite the setup there.

I have a Whiskey 5 and I put it on my daughters 6.5 Creedmore. We both love it and she was able to shoot her first buck with it this year!!!
