Does this mean big changes coming.  Don’t know how this individual was not fired years ago!
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Voluntarily. He was newly eligible.

Hopefully he won't be replaced. Historically WDFW has only had one Deputy Chief, it wasn't until Chief Crown was hired when he created a DC for Land Operations (Mike Hobbs) and a DC for Marine Operations (Mike Cenci). A couple years later Crown changed the DC positions into DC for Western WA operations (Cenci) and DC for Eastern WA operations (Hobbs.) As of right now the only DC is Hobbs and WDFW is currently back to how the program was run pre-Chief Crown.

That'd be good too, I just don't see any reason to trash cenci now that he's irrelevant.

no reason other than he left getting full benefits when he should have been fired years ago and lost some of them bennies. Now anyone that ever had any thing to say about Cenci will forever have a reason to trash talk him since they will still be paying him by proxy.

Interesting thread, I happen to know Mike quite well and I have the opposite views of a lot of the posters. Mike loved his job and worked hard at actually catching poachers. Just because your not doing something wrong and you get "hastled" doesn't mean someone else isn't, that's how they catch the bad guys.

I hope he has a great retirement, and hope to see him on the water.

Sadly our state tends not to find someone better to replace those who retire. Be careful cheering his retirement before you see his replacement.
