Interesting thread, I happen to know Mike quite well and I have the opposite views of a lot of the posters. Mike loved his job and worked hard at actually catching poachers. Just because your not doing something wrong and you get "hastled" doesn't mean someone else isn't, that's how they catch the bad guys.

I hope he has a great retirement, and hope to see him on the water.

If I’m not doing anything wrong I SHOULDN'T be HASSLED. Keep drinking the cenci
kool-aid.

Cenci- the one who "doesn't give a **** about deer and elk." Glad he's gone.

And according to bigtex he won't be replaced. That's good- more money to be spent on wolf studies.

He’s been on record saying the opposite.

If you see him on the water you may want to crank it and jet out.  He’s also been on record crashing a WDFW boat.

3 game wardens that I’ve talked to with 90 years of experience between them have all unanimously agreed:  He is self serving, only cares about fish, and completely unprofessional.

The guy is a complete jack azz, If you read the book Operation cody you'd see a diferent side of your good guy.  He was nothing but bad for fish and game, He could have supported the people investigating the biggest poaching ring in our states history, instead he went against it. D bag all the way.

I don't know anyone who worked in Enforcement that respected him.

Marine officers did. Land officers (for the most part) didn't.

Wasn't it Cenci who was grandstanding in front of the press on the morning of the Operation Cody arrests, before some warrants had even been served, therefore possibly endangering some arresting and investigating enforcement officers? Yep, sounds like a real quality guy.  Have a great retirement on the people of WA, D-nozzle.

I don't think there is any question that he did have a pretty good handle on marine/commercial issues and actually did some good things in that department.  From what I have heard, his people skills and role as a supervisor sucked big time and a lot of damage to some good folks was done.

How many times did he get or get the state sued? How much cost in equipment was he at fault for damaging? He didn't have a very good handle on anything from what i have read and heard.  :twocents:

Great news for hunters and WDFW employees!  He was a disaster!  And only fish mattered, not anything with wings or hoofs!
