Great place to be this time of year, I miss it up there.  I've seen some dandies in that area, but it looks like I'll see one less now. ;)  Again, awesome job Rick.

way to go rick...great buck. i'm jealous. i got meat in the freezer, but only a 3x3. i did drop the hammer on a yote last sunday that came to your cow call! only i was using it as  a predator call...congrats on a beautiful buck.

Congrats on a great buck!  But what are you doing in my neck of the woods!  Haahaaaa.....  Usually Iron Mt. is all shot out by the first weekend and they head into the Edds or Refrigerator Canyon areas to get away from the crowds.  I'll probably be over there next weekend if I dont change my mind and go archery again.  According to my buddy who lives over there, there were a bunch of nice bucks taken this week in the Hall Creek-Rabbit Creek area.
Good job man!

Thats a real nice buck! Congrates! I think my wife and I drove past your camp coming back from Republic at about 8:00 pm on wednesday night, we came across the cattle guard and in that pullout there were about 5 different tents/trailers and a group of guys were oogling a buck in a truck. We were camped up the 2053 rd. just west of where the 400 rd.(Iron mnt. rd.) takes off up to the south side of Iron mnt. We came home Friday night empty handed, but not without some great memories. We hunted hard every day, and jumped 3 monster muleys and had no shots due to the thick timber, also jumped one real nice whitey just below Cougar mnt. again no shot. But the country is beautiful and My buddy and his 10 year old son both tagged out on Sunday morning, both got small 3 pt. muleys. Again great buck, you will remember that one for a while no doubt.

Finnman

By the way, I drive a white '96 f-250 and had a honda atv in the bed. Which never left the truck bed by the way.
