17 minutes????? The page was froze for me the first 8 minutes because of so many people trying, then finally let me through and there were no A or B tags available. And the answer is no.

I heard it’s amazing people passing up bulls daily. Everyone should apply who has the means

We Heard 12 minutes, either way we went 2 for 4.  If Idaho wouldn't of hyped it up so much it wouldn't of been hard to get a tag.  I bet a lot of people have tags that don't have a clue about the area.  Two years ago there was one tag left on January 1st

The unit is recovering from previous wolf impacts, it is good hunting but maybe not what some people may think, don't expect it to be equivalent to a coveted limited entry unit.

Exactly, if idfg wouldn’t have given it so much publicity, we all wouldn’t have trouble getting the tag. I’ve hunted it the last 4 years, and haven’t killed an elk. It’s a tough hunt, but I know the area so I try to get it every year.

I'm just hoping somehow we got at the top of the list for turned in tags,  and people turn a few tags in!

It’s not F&G Hypeing it, it’s a capped zone an hour from Boise with some elk in it so it sells out fast to residents so they separate the sale and non rez’s Think they must be mising out on something. I’ve never even bothered with the tag but you can get into some elk in there ( I do bear hunt up there a little) . Next year it will go draw only and honestly probably be easier to get than over the counter capped at that point because it won’t be worth putting in for over other tags you could draw. I’d bet after a couple years of draws there starts to be leftovers

.  You're wrong on that one.  Its always sold out fast for residents,  non-residents it was always a month plus to sell out for the b tags.  They started hinting at going to draw A couple years ago and it suddenly sold out in close to 5 hours.

Its okay,  I wouldnt say great by any means. I would hunt it again but to me it's not worth the black Friday rush to get a tag. There is better otc units right next to it. The hype isn't from the elk numbers that are there but the fact that there isnt alot of pressure because the tag numbers are down.

We’ll still not fish and game “hypeing it” now is it. More like web sites like this one
