:yeah: Dan-O you are a very honorable person because he hasn't said if he weighed the bear! I'll send my address and donate the funds to an upcoming contest that we are working out the details to hopefully start next month.

I sort of feel bad that we disrupted both of his topics by discussing the size of the bear and then betting on it, he was simply trying to share his once-in-a-lifetime hunting story!

This is insane...I can’t believe you paid up on this bet.  I’m telling you, you are right on with that 275 lb guess.

At least someone is saying it.

Nice bear but neither of the bears posted by OP are near the size as advertised.

I'm not a betting man, but I'm betting Bigjon is looking at a scale in this pic.

This bear is huge, and I think it's silly to call Bigjon a liar, it's pissing me off and it's not even my bear.

:yeah: you have to be addicted to talking about the wenaha tag to be an expert on bear weights though.

Since when does a difference of opinion mean someone is a liar?

Mind blown.

No one has said this bear isn’t a great animal.

He said that one was 250, the one we're talking about here he say's is 400

Quote
If any of you read my posts a few weeks ago I have been after this bear for two years.  Finally after 200 hours in the blind Meet Bear number 32 I got him 730AM this morning, this boy is a HOG.  Probably not to many around like him anymore, hes over 7 feet, 400 pounds and a Boon and Crockett Skull.  Im very Happy with this beautiful Black Bear!

Big Jon

So saying this bear is anything other than 400lbs is calling Bigjon a liar, I dare you so say so in his face  :chuckle:

I think people don't realize how big Bigjon is, he makes 250lb bears look small.

 :dunno:

I don't get it, what reasoning do we have to not take Bigjon at his word?

Big John is big and he isn’t taking those ridiculous trophy shots where you can barely reach the tail of the animal to make it look as big as possible. Bet he never posts a pic on here again

I don’t know Bigjon from Adam.

If Jesus Christ himself posted that bear as 400# I would ask him if he had lost it.

I’m done taking away from the thread. It’s a very nice bear; but we see this every year.

I’m for providing solid data to the claims.

Everyone kills a 400# bear on Hunt-Wa!!!

Drink that Kool-Aid!  Chug it!

Doubtful.

Someone posts a toad bear and says “hey I got a toad out at quinault!” Everyone on here would say great job, nice bear, TOAD, etc.

Someone posts a toad bear and says “400lbs” and it’s obvious it’s not then ya call him or her out on it.

There is no way either bear was the weight as advertised. Both are great bears and I’d be happy to shoot either.
