My Experience is that in gerneral the further you go north of Colville, the fewer birds that are found. What have others experienced?
Also how is the bird population on the west side of Lake Roosevelt and north of the Colville Indian Population??

North and East of Republic and Curlew is great and also east towards Tonasket from Republic has turkeys....some private mixed with public...I go up to Republic in May...I let it warm up...It doesn't get a lot of sun and the birds seem to turn on a little later in my opinion...There are lots of areas to try.

You Can NOT hunt turkeys on the Res if you are NOT an enrolled member of the tribe.

Ok that is what I thought was just making sure that there was not something I was missing, I have seen quite a few birds there when driving through it. Thanks for the info

Yesterday I talked to a guy who asked me for directions last year, said he was from Chewelah. Of course I asked about turkeys he said they were making a mess of his yard. I told him I could help with that. Anyways, yesterday he said he had about sixty in the yard and his shoes are a mess, when was I coming over? My son might have some fun on the youth weekend.
