Hunting and cooking giant vampire bat in deep forest
« on: May 16, 2018, 06:02:43 AM »
Bat is considered to be one of clean animals living exclusively on fruit, so bat meat is really healthy.  Besides, bat meal has many benefits for our health: It can be used to extend Stamina, to cure inflammatory disease and unquiet – unquiet symptom,…

Of course, using their hands to catch the baths was impossible, so we should use some to trap the baths. By using tree sap, it is not difficult for us to trap the baths successfully:
+ Split bamboo trunks into 2 pieces and use them to collect tree sap
+ Dry the tree sap under strong sunlight until it becomes viscous
+ Make the viscous sap stick to tree branches
+ Put some ripe fruits to attract bats
+ Wait for bats to be trapped
After that, grill bats in a charcoal stove in 15 minutes and enjoys your delicious meal.

I've seen some different technical bat hunts. Nets in one show, bow & arrow and it's definitely a new type of hunt that is gaining popularity per 1 of the shows.

Is it illegal to shoot bats here in Washington? I know when I was a highschool kid I knew a couple highschool kids that had a special place that on a warm summer night the wing shooting of bats was pretty awesome as the sun was going down 😊 I did not participate of course

Barf on eating them; that's just gross.  We used to stand on a bank over the Kootenai River in NW Montana and "fly fish" for them in the air.  It was a blast!

Had one in our house and when I called they sited:

All species of bats are classified as protected wildlife and cannot be hunted, trapped, or killed (WAC 232-12-011).

Which makes it hard to get out of your house...must of had a heart attack.

We use to catch them when we were young by swinging about 15 ft of fishing line with a split shot in the end. The whirring sound brings them in and when they dive at the split shot it knocks them to the ground, and if you are quick you can put them in a jar before they fly away.

"giant" vampire bat ≠ giant fruit bat
