JB weld works pretty well if you get your ratios right and mix it well. I'm partial to Devcon but it's pretty expensive if you only have 1 or 2 rifles to bed. I've done 10 or 12 guns with 1# of Devcon.I've had good luck with Kiwi shoe polish as a release agent combined with some of the kids' clay to fill any voids in the action. I haven't glued a gun yet, but I was a little nervous on one or two of them. What action are you bedding?
Marinetex or Devcon give a much nicer finish.
Put it in a chassis.

I recently had the chance to purchase a, nearly new, XLR Carbon Chassis for SA Rem 700 for $550 but I cheaped out and passed on it. I think I screwed up and should have jumped all over it.
