Gotta love CH4D Tool & Die.
« on: May 18, 2018, 06:59:55 PM »
My latest order of “Wildcat” dies arrived. A boat load of fun stacked there. Just have to find the time, buried in work!

Yorke’s creation is second from the top.

Mine are really rough on brass and the decapping pin was drilled unevenly. It was a quick way to get a set of 6.6-06AI dies without dropping that Redding money though.

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Mine have all been real smooth. I did have a issue once with the decapper it was over sized and would hang up and stick/pull out in the primer pocket. A quick call and they had three replacements to me in 3 days, no charge. 4 out of 5 of those sets would have cost me $400.0 a piece  or more to have Redding do.

I have only had them build them off my reamer prints.

Interested in what the 6.5 Brooke is?  Went with Redding 6.5-06AI dies and was plenty happy with those, definitely not cheap.

At least you're doing it in the right order. I typically build the gun, shoot it until I'm bored, then decide I should have ordered dies. :chuckle:

Now all you need to do is find time to actually use some of those dies.
