Rather than a witness, why don't they just be transparent with all the public?  There is this secrecy with when the draw is taking place and when a witness is asked to come in that I simply don't understand.

Put an update in big bold letters right on the website a daily status update...then when the draw is done, post a link to every detail and piece of information out there...what computer, contractor, program was used for the draw...any audits or certifications done...list of all eligible and selected applicants...on and on.

Can anyone explain why that doesn't happen in this day and age?  That would be transparency.

Probably too much accountability that way.

Oops, was that too negative.  Probably just kissed a moose permit goodbye.....  :(

By far, the best line in both threads combined. :chuckle:

That'll put a guy on edge alright.  That with seeing a sleaze bucket hurting people and breaking the law would certainly force a good citizen's hand to Wyatt Earp a bad guy.

Everything you said here is a great idea except the name part.Because the name of people in the draw doesn't need to be public for any reason. In fact the draw should be off the wild id number and not name at all.  :twocents: The wild id number of the applicants and the selected ok i can go with that.

I haven't really thought about the draw but today it has hit me hard! I need to find something else to occupy my time, but it probably wont happen.

Agree with this.  I don't understand why it takes 4 weeks.  Why would there be so many 'little issues' that prevent running the draw in the first place?
