So in other words we are going to need another poll on when the WDFW system will come back online after crashing due to being overloaded at 8:31 am tomorrow.

Somebody needs to merge all the draw results threads.  That way the thread can get to 100 pages before the results are posted. :twocents:

Why in the world would they plan on sending me an email a couple hours before they want me to check - how about delaying the email a couple hours - hello ???

Clearly they are planning on releasing results late tomorrow not the morning of the 21st when notifications will go out.

That's awesome that they give out that info. Maybe the new director had a hand in it.

The new director starts August 1st.

I'm pretty sure the reason they put that message up was due to comments WDFW employees read on this forum, and probably in this particular thread.

Publishing an expected results date in advance doesn't really resolve anything.   Folks will complain anyway.

Look at Oregon as an example, they publish June 20th as the results date when the regs come out every January.   But go over to iFish and their draw results thread is up over 88,000 views now (which is alot for them).  Since the advent of posting results online, ODFW has never waited until the 20th to actually release results, always released earlier.   Seeing how much flak ODFW is taking now on facebook and other media (even though they're technically releasing "on time"), setting a results release date in advance doesn't necessarily reduce the complaints....

I doubt WDFW decides to move to a set date for results in the future.

I keep picturing like 10 people sitting in a room writing names on post its then putting them in a big raffle barrel then spinning it and writing down the results for the last month. I mean really what is everyone so upset about you know how long that takes?

I'm also in the camp that this is a ruse to keep us off their website. They're going to post any minute and I'll be there continually logging in to check for them  :tinfoil:
