Also, following.  I have not found a system that is reasonably comfortable and secure.  My EDC is a Beretta Nano which is magically low profile, so sometimes I get away with the hipbelt pocket of my Osprey pack.  I'm thinking my next attempt will be a proper hipbelt holster.

I'm using either a Sig P365 in a vedder IWB holster if I'm not going in too deep.  (haven't got to try it out yet, still waiting for holster)

If I am going further out in the woods I have a Gen 3 G20 in a safariiland drop holster with TRL1 HL light.  This works well on bicycle, ATV or just hiking with a pack on but not so well in the pickup 

With a little work on the belt loops it doesn't flop around on my leg anymore, but I'll probably change it to a low ride with leg strap so it'll flop around even less.

I have a Blackhawk Serpa paddle holster I like quite a bit, but it slides around on my hunting pants material (even with a good thick leather belt).
I think that functionally a chest harness makes a lot of sense, but I was worried about it conflicting with my chest bino harness.

Check out the USGI M12 (IIRC) holsters.  Safariland makes a lot of add-ons for that system, including shoulder harness.

Buy the holster surplus and save a bundle.   It fits the G20 quite nicely.

When hiking or scouting I carry ODB, with one of many holster options.
When wearing a pack, I carry crossdraw in a Serpa II. All my packs have Serpa IIs mounted or have quickdisconnects.

I wear the chest rig with a binocular harness at times. It's a pain if I'm using larger binoculars. If I'm using my smaller ones it works out just fine.
Really gonna have to put both of em on before you'll know if they work or not for you, I can see some people not liking both in their chest.

Alien gear Mollie holster clips right on to my Kifaru waist belt. Haven't used it yet but plan on using it this year and testing it out at home it seems to be the perfect route for me.

I haven't put hands on one yet but if you use a bino  pack or harness check out the razco holster. It sits right below the bino pack and attaches to it.

HPG kit bag. Keeps your handgun secured and gives you space to keep license,radio, etc handy. I attach my binoculars to the straps and they don’t interfere with drawing the handgun.

I have the gun fighters inc chest holster and I use it with a AGC bino harness. It works well and the grip of the pistol sticks out far enough for quick access. It does g t a bit bulky but it works. I haven’t used the Razco but I’m not sure I’d like the pistol that low.

I use a vedder light tuck IWB for everyday carry. translates perfectly to the woods - put many many miles on and don't know its there... They are very reasonable in price, comfortable, and they make one for just about every gun out there.
