Yep.   I use both the lock that goes on the top of the latch for towing and storage, and the lock that goes in the tongue on the bottom for storage.

Yep

You can get locks now that key to your tow rig.

I use locks on both sides.  Various options for both.  I don't trust anyone, anywhere.

I use a master lock standard lock on my coupler. I haven't changed it yet but regardless you're only stopping the opportunistic thieves. If someone really wanted to take it they will find a way. I will eventually get the master lock trailer kit.

I had bad luck with a master lock on the tongue once. Was an absolute pain to cut off after it completely seized. Probably just a one off bad lock but it was annoying enough I haven't bought another of theirs.

I just bought a set from home despot that has a tongue pin lock, a receiver ball lock and a master lock for the release it comes with for sets of keys that are keyed for all three locks for about thirty bucks.

A few years back I bought the Diversitech brand. They had keyed alike sets so I only need one key on all the hitches and trailers. It looks like they're now called Fastway. I've been happy with them so far. As Campmeat mentioned, etrailer is a great resource.

Be careful with Etrailer.  I bought a replacement lens for a trailer recently and they gigged me more for shipping than the darned thing cost.
