Double on Hawaiian axis Bucks
« on: May 26, 2018, 10:46:18 PM »
I may have a new favorite way to pass the time between fall seasons, spring axis deer Hunting is next level. The mrs and I doubled down on a couple beautiful Hawaiian island monarchs yesterday for my birthday. I’m still amazed how this came together. We spotted my buck and I shot him at 100 yards then her buck came running up the draw and wanted to kick mines butt so she jumped on the gun and anchored hers 10 yards from mine. The axis rut is crazy I am hooked on them.

I have a local buddy. He pointed us to a small peace of public and lent us a rifle. We just happened to be extremely fortunate in the right place at the right time

What's the process like to hunt from out of state in Hawaii? Pretty spendy tags? Hunter Ed proof requirement? I think a hawaii deer hunt is the closest I could get my woman to hunting...
