Anyone fishng the Tulalip bubble?
« on: May 29, 2018, 06:51:40 AM »
I spent a several hours there on Saturday without as much as a bump.  Marked lots of bait schools but if there are any salmon there they didn’t like what I had to offer.   Didn’t see anything caught on any of the other boats either.

It was good to get out on the water but frustrating.  Hopefully someone’s catching something there.

A buddy was there last night and got a huge fish. I'm hoping to be sick one day 😉this week and head up there when it's back open.

Not a lot of options in the area you could always launch at Kayak Point single launch no dock not a ton of parking when it is busy.
When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.

I struck out again there on Sat. morning.  I'm 0 for 2 now.

There was a native gill net setup close to shore in the North end of the area.  One end anchored on shore and the other couldn't have been in more than 20 -25 feet of water.  They must know something that I don't.

I've always heard that back in the day guys did well jigging darts in tight to the kelp in there. I've never tried it though. I'm sure a guy could troll a short bus flasher and spoon with an 8 oz lead in tight, or motor mooch a herring. Might be worth a try when it's a parking lot out front.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.
