I'm having a house built, there's a bun in the oven at home, and we're preparing to move all this fall and winter.

I still want to draw  :chuckle:  I'm in for draws in Idaho and Washington, points for Wyoming.

Most positive post I have seen in awhile     :chuckle:

Well I put in for skagit river elk with 14 points archery and I don’t have a sled to hunt the islands and I’ve takin all my vacation to help disabled veteran hunts so I do t have time or means to hunt this tag so I hope I don’t draw it same with eniat or my OIL tags. I’m just to busy for my own hunts this year

See?  That's the idea!  Bigwood is taunting ALL of the gods...

We see more Elk during odd years than we do even years. So I’m sure we will get drawn this year.

That's odd.
Yep it is 😜!Been keeping track since 2000 the year I got drawn for a bull tag. We hunt the same areas every year and the odd years we definitely see a lot more Elk. Looking through pictures of my dad grandpa and uncles the majority of all the Elk shot and killed by our camp were in odd numbered years from the mid 1970’s to current.

Okay, here we go.

 1. I'm building a new house this year so I wont have the time to do any hunting other than around the farm.
 2. This year is looking like a dry one.  Likely to be a lot of fire danger shutdowns of timber land.  Definitely be a bad year to draw anything.
 3. Planning on going to New Zealand next spring so no need to do much hunting this fall.

Okay drawing odds gods; I'm not only double dog daring you to give me anything special this year but I'm also bent over with my pants around my ankles and I'm giving you the biggest "moon" you've every seen.

Maybe they follow the humpies?

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Put in for my Quality Bull tag... which would be in September. Due to recent circumstances I no longer have Vacation until next October. Lets see if that's a big enough taunt!

I crunched the numbers on my chances of drawing...they’re horrible. Then I applied with a buddy to make them even worse!!!
