I might be in chelan for a couple days next month and I'm wondering if there's any decent bank fishing?

When I was a kid, I remember catching fish from the bank throwing flatfish or spinners. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a rod and spend an hour throwing a few lures out.

Yep, lots of places to either bank fish or you can go to some of the parks and fish from the docks.

Yes, I've fished from the bank of the state park with good luck.

Definitely worth doing, I prefer spoons for maximum distance.  Alternating a slow wobble and short spurts of speed often will trigger a strike.  Smallmouth and trout.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

This is the best time of your for bank fishing on Chelan -when the water level is rising. If you drive around the lake, about half way between Chelan and Manson you will go around a sharp curve with high bank. Park around the curve and walk back a bit, then work your way down the rock face to the lake. This is a deep drop off where you can catch rainbows, bass and Makinaw too. To catch Makinaw first drag a worm on a slip sinker through some weedy area about 10-20’ deep to catch a few suckers. Then put a small fillet of sucker on a jig and work it deep.
