What is everybody hoping for drawing in Oregon this year?

I have a realistic shot to draw my Oregon antelope tag.   I don't have a real chance on elk and deer permits, but my buddy is in with 21 points on elk and I promised to be his Sherpa....so if he draws that will be one heck of a hunt.   Of course, random draw and low odds on the OIL goat and sheep as a non-resident, but you never know.  Otherwise, it'll just be OTC deer/elk tags near my cabin in Oregon.

put in for rifle elk with one point and zero chance to draw but good with that. Didn't intend to hunt but building points to draw a unit that takes 2-3 points

Your buddy will draw. I think there's only two tags that 21 pts wouldn't guarantee a tag. I'm assuming it's a NE tag?

For those top two NE units, 1 non-resident tag goes to the outfitter and 1 to a non-resident.  The Oregon Tags prediction for Wenaha #2 is 3 guys would likely put in with 21 pts and 2 in with 22...going after 1 tag.  And for Mt Emily #2 it's 1 with 21 and 1 with 20 going after 1 tag.    And the single non-resident Walla Walla #2 tag goes to non-residents this year (as the outfitters got it last year), which is predicting two guys with 20 points would have put in for.  It really depends on where those guys with 22 and 21 pts actually applied for first choices on (vs. what Oregon Tags were predicting).

I'm brainfarting which unit he said he put in for this year.  I know he put in for Wenaha last year.

Well, I can help you figure out where one of the guys with 21 elk points put in. I put in for points. I want to get some health problems squared away and get back in better shape before I cash in my points. Good luck. As for antelope I hunted Juniper a couple years ago and may be of help there if anyone draws that.

Over the years it seems like Oregon likes to post the results on a Friday afternoon, giving the unsuccessful hunters a weekend to cry in their beer and get over their bitter disappointment before having a chance to call on Monday morning to bitch about the draw.  So I'm guessing the results will show up some time today.

I think so as well. If I remember correctly, they came out on the 15th last year.

They are always going to point to June 20th when you ask, but it has NEVER been that late.
