Any skagit spring bear hunters leave a lower jaw?
« on: June 03, 2018, 09:42:16 AM »
Found an old (3-4 day) blood trail, ended up with a bears lower jaw at the end of it, with a small piece of the skull cap. Was just wondering if anyone left one out there.

Slow posting this year for Skagit !

I wonder , was the kill site a predatory attack on a younger bear ?   It seems odd to leave most of the bear carcass in the field with spring bear drive in access.

Only been two bears harvested out of the unit so far this season.  A slow one.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
