Bears are responsible for 40% of the fawn and calf mortality, coyotes also responsible for a large percentage, especially during birth.

And I should know this, but my bear ID skills are pretty bad. Is that a grizzly, or a black bear? It looks huge, but I don't see much of a hump, I can't tell whether the face is "dished" or not, and the claws seem to be relatively short compared to a grizzly's. So I would have said "black" - but open to correction by folks that know better.
